The Bowie & Dick test allows verification of correct air evacuation from the sterilization chamber and complete steam penetration in porous loads. It simulates the performance of the sterilization equipment by evaluating the effectiveness of preliminary vacuum and steam penetration into cavities, as well as saturated steam temperature and pressure values during sterilization.
